Expert Reviewers are needed in the following specialties: Addiction Medicine with additional certification in Family, Internal Medicine or Psychiatry Colon and Rectal Surgery Dermatology Family Medicine Neurological Surgery Neurology OB/Gyn Pathology Pain Medicine Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Pediatric Pulmonology Plastic Surgery Psychiatry Surgery Urology Vascular Surgery Physicians interested in serving as Expert Reviewers for their specialty can find out more information and apply at the Medical Board website. Participating physicians are reimbursed $150 per hour for conducting case reviews and oral competency exams, $200 per hour for providing expert testimony, and usual and customary fees for physical or psychiatric exams. Song-Brown Grant Application Reviewers The Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) is seeing Subject Matter Experts for a Review Panel for the Song-Brown Primary Care Residency Program. Song-Brown provides grants to family medicine residency, primary care residency (internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and pediatric), as well as family nurse practitioner (FNP), physician assistant (PA), and registered nurse (RN) training programs to increase access to primary care in underserved areas. The Primary Care Residency Program accepts applications for residency program funding from Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs. Each SME Review Panel is comprised of up to five individuals who represent Family Medicine and Primary Care residency program physicians, FNP/PAs, RNs as well as CHWPC members, consumer advocates, practice site representatives and those with backgrounds in workforce development, or healthcare education programs.
